Sketch book saturdays

I have been playing around with tone today, this is prep for a story that is coming my way soon. I'm not really into old people in drawings, there are just too many lines. So I am trying to use other methods of building them out of washes of paint instead. there will be more to come shortly. K

The beginnings of a children's book, it explores the effects of deforestation through the central character - a robin called bobin. I like the theme but i don't think that this style will hold up, it is going to change.
